The Everyman by Comoys 9 Smooth Bulldog Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked
Out of stock
Description
Comoy’s is a historic brand in pipe making, and possibly the most historic brand in the making of briar pipes. Though originally founded in 1825 by a French family from Saint Claude, France, production of Comoy’s pipes was soon moved to London, England, where it established itself as one of the quintessential English pipe companies.
The Everyman was something of a sub-brand for Comoy’s in the 20th century, and a highly successful one at that. Moderately priced, it was, at one point (and according to Comoy’s), the highest-selling English pipe anywhere in the world. This one is, quite fittingly, a classic, lightweight English bulldog, dressed in a modest brown finish and fitted with a black vulcanite stem.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. There are some slight scratches on the bowl and a couple of worn out fills, but nothing beyond cosmetic imperfections.
