Savinelli Unica U36 Rusticated Poker Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 6mm

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Savinelli’s Unica has been a recent and quite unique series. It marked the first time in a long while that the Italian make has produced completely new shapes, along with novel finishes to complement them. So far, the pipes have been a special release, with limited quantities available. This “U36” is Savinelli’s latest interpretation of the poker, which is quite different to their standard 310. It is a muscular design, with a close resemblance to the traditional tankard, but with more heft. Exclusive to the Unica series, it is dressed in a light, burgundy rustication and paired with Savinelli’s own custom-made cobalt blue acrylic stems.

This pipe is completely unsmoked. Like most Savinelli pipes, it is chambered for 6mm filters as standard, such as Savineli’s own balsa filters, but will also perform perfectly well without one.
