When delving into pipe research, it’s frequently discovered that Reborn Pipes has undertaken a substantial portion of the groundwork. The enduring work of Steve Laug is destined to outlast us all. Laug’s work points to the Rogers Rarity—a name that seems ironically fitting given how little information has survived about these pipes—as having been a line of pipes crafted by Custombilt between 1945 and 1949. The “Rogers” part referred to Rogers Imports, Inc., a New York distributor in the early 20th century. It also seems that the Rogers Rarity was discontinued in the early 1950s, making this distinctive, rusticated panel quite the heirloom.

The condition is very good. Some minor inner rim darkening.
