Peder Jeppesen Ida Easy Cut 3 Sandblasted Pot Estate Briar Pipe, Danish Estates

Out of stock

Description

There are two things that define a Peder Jeppesen pipe, whether those made under his Neerup moniker, or the higher-grade pieces made under his given name, P. Jeppesen: one is an organic composition, with typical shapes being apples, eggs, acorns, and strawberries; the other is the use of decorative elements, such as brighter color schemes, rings, and other adornments.

This particular pipe belongs to the higher-grade P. Jeppesen “Ida” series, named after his daughter, and is additionally part of what Jeppesen has come to call the “Ida Easy Cut” line. Rather than these pipes being “easy” in the sense of being simpler or less laborious, they’re more “easy going” in the sense that they embody shapes that Peder Jeppesen doesn’t normally make. This one, for example, is an extraordinarily stout pot, with a deep, craggy blast and near-black finish contrasted with an amber-swirl acrylic accent and stem.

The condition is great. Very minor inner rim darkening.
