Papa Bear’s Pipes by Tim Beaumont Sandblasted Apple w/ Mammoth Handmade Briar Pipe, New
Out of stock
Description
Papa Bear’s Pipes are made by North American artisan Tim Beaumont. Beaumont has been making pipes since 2018, cultivating a unique style that isn’t afraid to mix and match design elements and to create something completely out of the ordinary.
As already mentioned, Tim Beaumont’s been on a real Danish kick recently, with this example being among my favorite of his latest batch of handmade pipes. A stout, bent apple shape in the vein of Jens Tao Nielsen or Peder Jeppesen, the bowl transitions into a distinctive, faceted shank, capped and stemmed by an even more distinctive combination of fossilized mammoth tooth and custom-cast, blue artisan resin. The latter is a relatively contemporary creation conceived specifically for artisan pipes, which possesses a similar comfortability to ebonite, as well as a resistance to wear and oxidation comparable to Lucite. The former, on the other hand, belongs to a land—as they say—far beyond time.
