Description
Orlik was an English pipe manufacturer founded in 1899 by Louis Orlik. While originally the company’s mission was to produce low-cost pipes, the make would ultimately be known for the distinctly high quality of their products. Consequently, Orlik pipes are today a favorite among pipe smokers and collectors, especially those who prefer the hobby’s Great British classics.
This particular Orlik is a good old fashioned bulldog from what looks to be the Cadogan years. It’s a modest design, very much in keeping with the reserved culture of its homeland, and is by the same token eminently traditional. In other words, it’s a nice, simple bent bulldog, with pleasant flame grain, a warm, brown finish, and a jet-black vulcanite stem.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating.
