Description

The Moonshine Pipe Company was created in the early 2010s by American artisan craftsman Johnathan Lavezzo. After becoming a major hit in the tobacco pipe community, Lavezzo’s production became greatly outpaced by demand, leading him to enlist the help of Todd Johnson and Pete Prevost in scaling up the venture. Johnson and Prevost’s BriarWorks workshop took on the manufacture of Moonshine pipes, with the former ultimately acquiring the latter. Today, Moonshine and BriarWorks pipes are produced under the same roof in Tennessee.

One of Moonshine’s most popular shapes is the MS09 “Cannonball.” In fact, it’s so popular that numerous variations on the shape have been released since its debut. This is the original design, a plump ball rendition with a slight Danish tinge to it, dressed in Moonshine’s house wire rusticated finish, paired with a black acrylic mouthpiece.
