Description
Jobey is a name that has been associated with a number of pipe manufacturers, vendors, and nationalities over the years. The Jobey name has also been attached to a wide variety of pipes and styles, from the Italian-inspired Stromboli line, to the Jobey Dansk pipes carved in the workshop of Karl Erik.
While the nomenclature might strike as rather strange today, the Nut Bruyere is an old line from Jobey, with a cost of around just $5 per pipe once upon a time. As Jobey’s history has remained rather mysterious in the century or so since it was founded, it’s difficult to know exactly when this example was made, though it’s a solid smoker. Dressed in a light brown sandblast and weighing around just 30 grams, it should make for an ideal clencher or workhorse pipe.
The condition is good. Some finish fading and slight inner rim darkening.
