Savinelli Linea Piu 5 Rusticated Brandy Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates, 6mm
Out of stock
Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
Like the Autograph series, Savinelli’s Linea Più pipes are individually hand shaped pipes, with the latter typically being closer to traditional designs with a little more heft to them (Più being Italian for something like “more”), along with a sterling silver collar. Or, rather, I should perhaps say that they were such, as I haven’t seen a new one in years, and even Savinelli has removed reference to them from their website. This one is a tall, freehand bent brandy, dressed in a very Italian, pebble-dash rustication—the kind, in fact, which Savinelli helped pioneer with the Capri Root Briar and Corallo finishes way back when.
The condition is great. Some very minor inner rim darkening. The pipe comes with its original box. It is also chambered to accommodate 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, but will perform just as well without one.
