Commodore (by Charatan?) Sandblasted Pot Estate Briar Pipe, English Estates

Description

It would seem that various companies have been associated with the Commodore make at one point or another. One of these companies is F. Charatan and Son. Given that this pipe is a dead ringer for Charatan’s shape 148 “Outsize Pot” (proportions and all) I’m inclined to think it’s a Charatan’s Make by another name, though that would be an educated estimation. Whoever made it, it looks to be a solid workhorse, with a wide chamber especially suited for mixtures and ribbon cuts.

The condition is fair. Rim darkening and finish fading.
