Smooth Bent Billiard Block Meerschaum Estate Pipe, Other Estates
Out of stock
Description
While meerschaum pipes today are typically carved in shapes that are very much unto their own, this one instead follows the design trends of much earlier meers, such as those of the early to mid-20th century. Taking the form of a 3/4 bent billiard, it is striking just how much it resembles early briars, right down to the pronounced curvature of its mouthpiece. Interestingly, this one has an inverse screw tenon, possibly suggesting a European mid-century production, rather than a later, Turkish one.
The condition is fair. Some nicks and scratches around the bowl.
