Peterson pipes generally need no introduction, but just in case you’re unfamiliar: in 1876, a Latvian named Charles Peterson immigrated to Ireland and was hired making pipes in a workshop owned by Frederick and George Kapp. After rising through the ranks to become head craftsman, Peterson bought into the Kapp’s business, which was renamed, Kapp & Peterson (K&P). During this time, Peterson himself applied for several patents for pipe designs, including the world-famous Peterson’s System. Since then, Peterson has become one of the most recognizable names in pipe smoking and continues to produce high quality pipes from their headquarters in Dublin.

It seems like only yesterday that I was singing the praises of the 2024 Peterson Christmas pipe, and indeed since I was doing the same for the 2022 release. As with the 2022, the 2024 Christmas pipe centered around lovely copper spigot mounts, seen here on this Smooth finish shape 221 rendition. The color palette is festive, but very tasteful, to the point where it could be released all year round and still not look out of place. Sadly, it was, as with all Christmas pipes, a limited edition offering, which makes having an unsmoked one come in a pleasant and very uncommon treat.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. It comes with its original box and sleeve.
