The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

In addition to their functional improvements, one thing that we’ve always been interested in when it comes to our meerschaum pipes is expanding our design portfolio. In particular, we’re always looking to including new shapes that either aren’t commonly associated with the medium, or which have been transformed in the last half century via the briar artisan scene. This MBSD Silver line, for example, is a meerschaum rendition of a rather classic shape in briar pipe design: the Anse, or Devil Anse (also sometimes known as the Belge). Taking its modern name from a popular Western, it’s a stubby shape with a distinct forward cant, sort of like a cutty that’s been shortened and had that extra length go instead into beefing it up a little. This one is fitted with a reverse calabash system in its shank, making for even cooler, drier smokes.

The condition is great. Minor rim darkening.
