Il Ceppo Smooth Apple w/ Silver Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates

Description
Il Ceppo is an Italian workshop that has been producing high-grade pipes since the 1970s. Founded by the architect Giorgio Imperatori in Pesaro, Italy, Il Ceppo is a central figure in what has been called the Pesaro School of pipe design, along with other workshops such as those of Ser Jacopo and Mastro de Paja.
I used to think that Il Ceppo pipes were underrated—in the US at least—but years of selling estates has shown that they are, in fact, appreciated for what they are: beautiful, well crafted pipes. This one is no different, and it also has a little bit of a Danish tinge to it. With its bulbous bowl, perched neatly atop the base of its shank, it might almost be mistaken for a Balleby or an S. Bang. Decked out in flame grain and sporting a neat silver collar, it is a great looking pipe, with a more than generous chamber.
The condition is good. Slight over-reaming of the top of the chamber and slight handling marks.
