Savinelli 2025 Saint Nicholas Bing’s Favorite Sandblasted Briar Pipe, New, 6mm

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

As was once tradition for many of the great 19th and 20th century pipe companies, Savinelli offers a limited-edition pipe at Christmas time, with theirs going by the name of the “Saint Nicholas.” The design is always festive, but always different. For 2025, the Italian mainstay has opted for a very classical Christmas motif, combining their dark, craggy, house rusticated finish with hues of of scarlet, silver, and fir-tree green—the latter being custom-cast acrylic made specially for this year’s Saint Nicholas release.

In recent years, alongside their standard-shape Saint Nicholas Pipes, Savinelli has also offered an even more limited release of their highly popular Bing’s Favorite shape. Sharing the same festive design as their other Saint Nicholas Pipes, the Bing’s Favorite Saint Nicholas adds that extra touch of old-world class to the series by way of its iconic figure and its Christmas-crooning namesake.

Like most contemporary Savinelli pipes, this one has a tenon that will fit 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, or will perform perfectly well without a filter if preferred.
