Description
Roma are budget-friendly pipes made by Italy’s major pipe factories. One could think of them as an unofficial ‘seconds’ line for various Italian mainstays. This Roma is a fairly traditional straight brandy, though the proportions remind me a little of the Danish billiard popularized by artisan carvers.
The pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original factory bowl coating to ease its first smokes. The finish is a little inconsistent, and there are some worn out fills, but these are superficial imperfections. It will make for a solid workhorse pipe.
