Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

One thing I think is often underappreciated is that meerschaum carvers are commonly pipe smokers just like the rest of us, with preferences as to the designs they like and don’t like. My carver is particularly fond of the “beehive” pipe shapes associated with English pipe companies, like Dunhill and their US Quaint shape. This was his own take on the idea of a “beehive” pipe, modeled after similar hive structures to the ones the Brits took inspiration from (i.e., the old medieval “skep” style hives). The pipe is decidedly stout, with a very large chamber, as well as a reverse calabash system in its shank to help stop smoke from “stinging” one’s tongue. Fittingly, the pipe also features a dark, honey-swirl acrylic stem.
