Mario Grandi XL Partially Rusticated Cherrywood Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates
Out of stock
Description
Mario Grandi pipes are made by Italy’s Pierluigi family. Their workshop is headed by Aldo Pierluigi, who has been a respected artisan pipe maker since the 1970s. The Pierluigi family are also responsible for the Pierluigi make, as well as Mastro Beraldi.
The Pierluigi family’s Mario Grandi sub-brand is one that specifically focuses on large pipes, a connection that, I will admit, took me far longer than it should have to realize. This particular example is a very Italian, partially rusticated cherrywood rendition, with an impressively tall stature aided by a briar shank extension and long, easy-sipping stem.
The condition is great. Very minor inner rim darkening and very slight handling marks. Smoked a few times at most, and gently.
