Viking

Viking was originally created by Bjarne Nielsen as a more affordable companion brand to his primary Bjarne line. Nielsen was an important figure in Danish pipe making who helped introduce international smokers to the work of numerous Danish pipe makers.

Viking pipes offer accessible interpretations of Scandinavian design, including traditional shapes, bent forms, and more distinctly Danish profiles. Finishes and appointments vary, with some pipes featuring decorative collars, faux-spigot mounts, or lighter stains selected to display the briar’s grain.

Production of Viking pipes continued beyond Bjarne Nielsen’s death in 2008, and some examples carry additional connections to established Danish manufacturers such as Bari.
