Peterson 2021 Christmas Deerstalker Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]

Description

Peterson pipes generally need no introduction, but just in case you’re unfamiliar: in 1876, a Latvian named Charles Peterson immigrated to Ireland and was hired making pipes in a workshop owned by Frederick and George Kapp. After rising through the ranks to become head craftsman, Peterson bought into the Kapp’s business, which was renamed, Kapp & Peterson (K&P). During this time, Peterson himself applied for several patents for pipe designs, including the world-famous Peterson’s System. Since then, Peterson has become one of the most recognizable names in pipe smoking and continues to produce high quality pipes from their headquarters in Dublin.

Peterson’s limited edition ‘Christmas’ pipes for 2021 were a very elegant reissue of their famed Sherlock Holmes series, but with copper collars and darker stains than the standard versions. This particular 2021 Christmas pipe is a version of the ‘Deerstalker,’ Peterson’s muscular, quarter-bent Rhodesian. It’s a tasteful design, but also one that feels nicely full in the hand, while offering a capacious chamber for longer, relaxing smokes. I would call it a great after-dinner pipe, but it’s also sturdy enough to take most places, depending on one’s preferences. In either case, it looks excellent.

The condition is also excellent. As can be seen from the chamber, it doesn’t appear to have been smoked more than a handful of times. I see no issues that need to be highlighted.
