Savinelli Sitting 320 KS Rusticated Author Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates
Out of stock
Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
Though it is presently discontinued, Savinelli’s Sitting line was, as the name implies, essentially dedicated to “sitter” renditions of classic Savinelli shapes. In other words, it took some of Savinelli’s most popular designs and tweaked them a little so they would be able to “stand up” without needing some sort of pipe rest. The 320 KS was perhaps the most surprising addition to the Sitting line. Granted, it is one of Savinelli’s best-selling shapes, but it is also a rather bulbous author—quite possibly the furthest one can get from traditional sitters. But Savinelli managed to pull it off, creating a version of the beloved 320 KS that will rest comfortably on a flat service without its mouthpiece touching said surface. After all, nobody wants a dirty button in their mouth, nor indeed to get saliva on one’s table.
The condition is fair. Some rim charring. The pipe is chambered to allow for the use of 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, if desired, but will perform perfectly well without one if not.
