Dr. Grabow Free Hand 02 Smooth Freehand Estate Briar Pipe, American Estates, 6mm
Out of stock
Description
Dr Grabow might just be the quintessential American working man’s pipe. Created in 1932 by Linkman & Co., the Dr Grabow name soon became a staple in the American pipe world, being still produced today and enjoyed by novices and veterans alike.
The Free Hand was a rather late addition to the Dr Grabow lineup. Debuting near the end of the 20th century, it was, like so many traditional Anglo-French makes, Dr Grabow’s version of the Danish “fancy” freehand pipes that had taken the world by storm since the early post-war decades. This one takes on the “war club” aesthetic of many of the old Nording and Preben Holm pipes, while keeping to a size manageable enough for just about anyone.
The condition is good. Some inner rim darkening and a couple of worn out fills. The pipe is chambered to allow for the use of 6mm filters, though will perform perfectly well without if preferred.
