Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

This is another one of our meerschaums that pays homage to that distinctly modern genre of a distinctly traditional staple: the “Danish Dublin.” Though largely inaugurated by the Swedish pioneer Sixten Ivarsson, there are now almost as many ways to make a Dublin as there are artisans who have lived in the decades since. This one was inspired by the “scooping” Dublin renditions of greats such as Jess Chonowitsch, Poul Winslow, and Asami Kikuchi of Tsuge Ikebana. Stout and stubby while nonetheless elegant in form, this Dublin also has a reverse calabash system in its shank, for cooler, drier smokes.
