Savinelli Capri Cameo Grain 111 Straight Billiard Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]

Description

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

I don’t think I’ve seen this line from Savinelli before, but I certainly like it. It is rusticated in the quintessentially Italian style, being far closer to Becker or Castello than I’m used to seeing from Savinelli. It also features what I think is a vulcanite army mount and stem, which is a nice touch. Curiously the stem is inlaid with the dot Savinelli usually reserves for their higher-end lines, such as the Punto Oro.

The condition is excellent; there is a very small amount of finish fading on the inner lip of the rim, but other than that it’s pristine. At 41 grams, it should be a comfortable clencher, too.
