Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our new series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

Some of our best-selling meerschaum models have been our “cobra” shapes, inspired by a number of pipe makers. The Danish cobra shapes of Tonni Nielsen, Jorgen Larsen, and Peter Heeschen, have provided some inspiration, but so have the cobra shapes of Butz-Choquin and Chacom in the second half of the 20th century. With this one, the aim was to synthesize all of those influences with an aesthetic borrowed from the more ornate meerschaums of the 19th and early 20th centuries, complete with sterling silverware and an acrylic stem evoking materials from days gone by, such as horn and amber.
