The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.
This MBSD Silver line, for example, is a meerschaum rendition of a rather classic shape in briar pipe design: the Anse, or Devil Anse (also sometimes known as the Belge). Taking its modern name from a popular Western, it’s a stubby shape with a distinct forward cant, sort of like a cutty that’s been shortened and had that extra length go instead into beefing it up a little. This one is fitted with a reverse calabash system in its shanks, making for even cooler, drier smokes.
