The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

While acorn shapes have existed for almost as long as briar pipes, the modern acorn is a shape that has featured prominently in post-war artisan pipe making since its inception, owing to the efforts of pioneers such as Sixten Ivarsson. In the decades since, the acorn has evolved time and again, being taken in all manner of directions by the most creative and skilled pipe makers on the planet. A more recent development in acorn shapes has taken the form of highly unique sitters, with prominent examples being those of America’s Micah Cryder and Yeti Pipes, and China’s Ping Zhan. This MBSD Meerschaum, from our Silver line, follows in a similar vein, with a deep-chambered, saxophone-line figure inspired both by the aforementioned contemporary artisans, and numerous shapes from early Danish pipes via Pibe Dan. This pipe also houses a special, reverse calabash chamber in its shank, for cooler, drier smokes.
