Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

This particular Silver line MBSD Meerschaum is another example of the Danish, or Danish-inspired, designs that have become best sellers in our catalog. Or, rather, it’s a Danish-French inspired pipe. There was certainly some influence from the pipes of Tonni Nielsen, Jorgen Larsen, and Peter Heeschen, but there was also some influence from Butz-Choquin and Chacom, who made some really interesting cobras in the late-20th century (probably with a Danish influence themselves). Unlike just about any of those cobras, however, this one features a reverse a reverse calabash chamber system, for a cooler, drier smoke.
