Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

As with several of the Deluxe line meerschaums we’ve listed recently, this one takes inspiration not from the Danish or Italian artisan schools, but the Anglo-French classics—in this instance, the stout, large billiard shapes of the early 20th century. Taking cues from Viennese meerschaum pipes, as well as various renditions of the French Maigret and Dunhill LB designs, this one features a thick, slightly forward-canted bowl (as is tradition), a rusticated finish intended to mimic early briar sandblasts, as well as a sterling silver army mount and imitation horn acrylic stem.
