Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

This Silver line pipe was inspired by the “mushrooming” Dublin shapes that have come out of Denmark and America over the last half century, especially more recent artisan renditions. While Sixten Ivarsson is certainly a precursor to this approach to the shape, it would be Sixten’s granddaughter Nanna Ivarsson, along with other master artisans like Peter Hedegaard, Jess Chonowitsch, and many others around the world that cemented this one’s place in pipe history. This Silver line meerschaum follows that vein as far as shaping goes, while also incorporating a more Turkish, lattice carved finish, as well as a reverse calabash system in its shank.
