Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

The great pipe manufacturers of the Anglophone and Francophone worlds might have invented the brandy shape, but the Danish artisans that followed perfected it—at least, in my mind. That’s a big part of the reason my carver and I looked to the great Danes when it came to designing our meerschaums. Pipe makers like Former, Ph. Vigen, and Kurt Balleby have always been great inspirations in that regard. This short, stout brandy is an especially Balleby-esque, with curves straight out of a Rubens painting, as an old friend used to say. A dressing of Turkish latticework keeps it distinct, however, along with a reverse calabash chamber nestled in its shank.
