The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

What’s that old wedding checklist? “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” I can’t help but be reminded with a pipe like this one. Taking the form of a very traditional, quarter bent billiard with a sterling silver army mount, it’s certainly true that there’s something “loaned” from the classics when it comes to the overall design. Then again, the choice of a more colorful, navy acrylic stem adds a distinctly contemporary element to it—one that, per the color wheel we’re all taught in art class, will look magnificent once this pipe starts developing its golden patina. Old, borrowed, blue, new. A good recipe for a pipe that will satisfy long after the “honeymoon period” that comes with one’s latest pipe acquisition wanes.
