Robert Vacher Laughing Moon Smooth Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]

Description

G. L. Pease once said that, “Robert Vacher, the man behind Laughing Moon Pipes, makes pipes that are much better than they have any right to be.” Vacher was an artisan pipe-maker from California, in the United States. He began making pipes around 1998/9, and had a dedicated following over the course of the early 21st century. Vacher even helped the now-legendary Brian Ruthenberg with his early pipe-making endeavours.

This particular Vacher is a large, stack billiard in the American artisan style, accented by a nice army mount, made from what appears to be cumberland. It’s got plenty of nice grain – a mix of straight grain and bird’s-eye – and has a great, ergonomic feel to it, despite its size. As can be imagined, this one will be perfect for long, relaxing smokes. It’ll also be perfect for anyone with a particular fondness for cult-classic american carvers.

The condition is very good. There is some darkening on the inner lip of the back rim, but that shouldn’t stop this pipe from being an excellent smoker.
