K Bertram Smooth Bulldog Estate Briar Pipe, Danish Estates
Out of stock
Description
While a historic pipe shop called “Bertram” existed for around 100 years in the United States between the 19th and 20th centuries, there also appears to have been a Danish pipe maker of a similar name in the post-war period. That pipe maker, or perhaps pipe shop, was called K. Bertram. I’ve seen a number of K. Bertram pipes over the years, all of which have been very nice, though I’ve never been able to track down the specifics of their production. If you happen to know anything about these pipes, please let us know. For everyone else, I suppose all that’s left to do is admire this nicely grained, compact bulldog rendition.
The condition is good. Minor handling marks and a slightly over-buffed vulcanite stem.
