Savinelli Moka 207, Rusticated Straight Apple Estate Briar Pipe, 6mm [SOLD OUT]

Out of stock

Description

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Savinelli’s Moka line isn’t one that’s been made in quite a few years, which is a shame given how nice it looks. It’s dressed in a fine, dark brown rustication (hence the Moka name), that looks almost like sandblasting. Interestingly, this line has two features that are also uncommon for more recent Savinelli pipes – a smooth, beveled inner rim/lip, and a cumberland stem (as opposed to Savinelli’s preferred lucite). All in all it’s a very classic straight apple design, but with a dash of Italian flair.

The condition is excellent. I see no major issues. The sheen at the button end of the stem is a little faded, but it’s very minor. This pipe is chambered for 6mm filters (such as Savinelli’s balsa filters), but will smoke just as comfortably without.
