Savinelli Estella 815 EX Rusticated Canadian Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]

Description

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

The Estella is a genuine classic within the Savinelli catalog, one that is only more so for having not being in production for decades. It was a rusticated line whose finish is somewhere between the granular approach of Castello’s Sea Rock and Caminetto’s ‘wax drip’ New Dear lines. This Estella has furthermore been given an unconventionally vibrant aesthetic through the pairing of a sandy red stain and a light yellow lucite stem. It’s a great looking – and great feeling – pipe.

The pipe is also near-mint. It is quite remarkable how well preserved this Estella is. Aside from the tiniest bit of darkening on the inner lip of the rim, it’s practically immaculate.
