Description
The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.
This particular Silver line meerschaum represents something of a synthesis of styles. On the one hand, the essential form is inspired by post-war Danish pipe making, especially the bulbous apple shapes of, say, Tao, Former, and Ballaby. On the other, the finishing is more in line with the classic “golf ball” rustication of Turkish meerschaums. To add to that, the pipe also features a more contemporary addition in the form of a reverse calabash nestled in its shank, allowing for a cooler, drier smoke.
