Dragon Briars was the name used by American artisan Joshua Ronish, prior to his retirement a few years back. It’s always a shame when someone decides to step away from the craft, especially someone like Ronish, who had a lot of talent. This particular pipe is a nice, poker sitter shape, though one given a thorough modernization by way of a Danish-style, freehand approach to shaping and a vibrant, almost psychedelic, stem. I think the latter is acrylic, though it is possible it is a resin of some sort.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating.
