Angelo is an affordable brand of pipes made by the Rovera family, in Varese, Italy. If the name “Rovera” sounds familiar, it’s for a good reason. The Rovera family’s history with pipes goes all the way back to 1911, when Francesco Rovera founded the Sociedade Rovera pipe company with his brothers. Over the decades, various generations of Roveras and their extended families have been involved in pipe making: Angelo, Dorelio, and Damiano Rovera make Ardor and Roverart; Federico Rovera makes Fe.Ro; Massimilliano Rovera made Mario Rovera; Fiorenzo Rovera created Gardenesa; and Giorgio created Giorgio Rovera, which became Gigi.

This particular pipe comes from the Roveras’ Angelo make, taking the form of a meerschaum lined poker, one perfect for those who enjoy the clean-smoking properties of meerschaum, but favor the aesthetics of briar.

This pipe is completely unsmoked. It is chambered to allow for the use of 9mm filters if desired.
